I'd say so, it can get pretty rough there. Petty harbour is only a few mins from St.John's, but unlike the city it doesn't have a natural shelter from the open sea and unlike most of the island, that shore is directly on the ocean instead of in a bay.

Skirt is done on the garage, only a little more cosmetic trim work and it'll at least look Complete outside.

I can only imagine what the stranded Americans in Afghanistan must feel like. :hair:

Lake is still open but there are some below zero temps forecasted for lows ribght after the weekend. Looks like we'll finally get some hard water.

I'm stoked about a new room addition going up!! Decking the weekend hopefully (depends on wind). Thinking for some ideas to have BOTH a ton of storage (kitchen cabinets'ish and a couple pantries) and a ton of windows...... Not sure how to get both.

IIRC you and hubby are not exceptionally tall.. I grew up in a French Canadian town where 5 foot was normal. The kitchens they loved the best, for upper cabinets had short cabinets and then they had 12 inch high 3 foot wide basement casements windows above cabinets for natural light.

a kid could get a lot of cookies/candy and quarters helping Lil grandma (me-mere) getting stuff down from top shelves

I would take my odds trying to avoid a virus than some murderous zealot who wants to beat me or cut my head off. Only times I ever went to countries other than those in N. America was because I was sent there by the Gov. Very content to stay home now. I get my fill of foreign 3ed world places from watching travelogues.

We have an '01 Civic that is our son's daily and we use for beating around back and forth to ball games, shopping, etc. It needed new tires and yesterday it got a flat in the sidewall. Took it in for tires (which are super expensive now in case you didn't know). Got the usual list of of "recommended repairs" and an estimate. They said bushings on LCAs are loose and struts are shot - and they probably are...the car is 20 years old. Only $1,200 to fix them. o_O Um, hard pass on that one.

What is involved in winterizing a boat? 25 HP outboard. Will the water just drain out the transom or do I have to blow it out with compressed air? If I run the engine will the engine stay running to empty the carb when I pull the tank connection off? I will pour some Stabil in the tank.

    thanks!
thanks! As yooper showed you, just barn type doors. I was having issues with there being no latch on the bottom, finally got something done the other week that I wanted to do for a long time, dug a little trench and ran a mostly recessed pressure treated beam under the doors so I could install latches on the bottom. Should be good and secure now.

I can't even recall now if I posted that, but I'm building a small shed behind the house so I can get my lawnmower out of the garage, along with the big ladder and no longer leave the wheelbarrow outside. That should leave a little room for a chopsaw station too.
