Lol. I brought one home from the woods this year. Inspired by Christmas Vacation. I had to cut about a foot off the bottom, after I had it inside and got pitch on the ceiling. It's a vaulted ceiling, so it gets taller away from the window. Oops. They look smaller in the woods. It's better now.

Put in a skylight right over where you put the tree. Course, this won't work very well if you have an upstairs. That's a fat one though. I used to go thru dozens and dozens trying to find a decent looking skinny one to take up less space. 3 years ago bought a fake tree. I don't much care for it but live ones are getting pricey.
We got a crusty coating. Main roads all clear, some side roads with some crusty glaze. My son scraped off the ramp for us so we didn't fall. Went to one of my daughter's place in South Gardiner, they had the same crusty coating as we did. So far, we are able to heat with the mini split without problem. Electric bill up 25$ but that varies month to month anyway. I plan to run the stove once it gets really cold. I have the really big p 68 which is oversized for this space, but I can control how it runs.
When we brought in things from the truck after Thanksgiving we found a "valet key" on the floor of the back seats. Huh? Weird!

My BIL got the infusion. He was fully vaccinated but got sick. He has underlying health conditions that give him troubles breathing at times, so his physician was able to get him in for the treatment. Seemed to work - he got no worse and recovered quickly.
This was at the end of the day yesterday. The Kubota did well moving some clay and dirt for a few hours. Back at it this morning. It has warmed up to 19 from 12 earlier. Toasty in the cab though.
Your telling me the tree and two kissing balls cost an arm and a leg. Good thing there is a bit of fire wood in the trunk!
