Picked up a new to me 372 at a local pawn shop today runs great but have noticed it feels really sloppy when cutting like a lot of flex figured to put new av springs on it anyone else’s have any suggestions pics to come once it gets cleaned up
Levi , the heavy antivibe spring p/n’s are these : 503 89 56 02 503 63 75 02 503 63 76 02 The current springs on your saw carry a close p/n . They just end in 01 . I changed the springs on my 390 because it was pretty sloppy . But before you change the . Check to be sure that the springs are secured ,and not broken .
Can’t like that . Hate a thief …. One of the lowest forms of human life there is . I hope you find your 572 . But in the meantime , enjoy the 372 . Great saw .
If they are floppy, they don't vibrate as Much. Stiffer springs vibrate more. How long a bar do you run ? Is it full wrap or half wrap.
Wow! You must be a big time hoarder getting your wood delivered by rail.Nice saw, glad it's running well.
With a 20" bar on it. If it's floppy, I would suspect a broken spring mount . Or maybe a rubber bumper is missing. Trying to remember if the 372 had a rubber flop limiting rubber stop bumper in it. I think it did. The 394s did. And it was needed. Mine (371 + 372s ) spent most of their lives with 32" bars on them . But I did put a 20 on one of them . Because it fit in the cab of my terex with me. ( I always felt kinda stupid getting a bigger tree off the stump with itq ). I was going to build a saw holder box on the hood to keep a saw in . But I got out of the firewood business and traded off the loader.
Levi the recommendation for Kevin above is well regarded. I’ve had saws done by many different builders. He really makes em snotty and is eggs-cell-ant to deal with. You will not be disappointed, guaranteed.
