mat60 , There's a name in here somewhere with this picture and the expression on her face Wow, seems like just yesterday you bought that! Indoor family pet is a 6 lb kitty 1 stray wild cat that we care for (I had her spayed & shots and exams etc.) that lives outside and in the garage. Our previous kitty was an 18 lb siamese, he Blessed us with over 15 years (Siamese was indoor only too).
Not only that but ask someone if they sell postcards and if they are one of the young staff, they don't know what you are talking about.
Thanks Dennis. Built in 1960 and the door is way short. The Patriot I had at the time managed to squeak thru. VW might have been too tall for it. When I bought cars, I had to be careful about height and width. Many good deals I couldn't go for because of that. Ford Focus could make it. Pallet jack is the only way to get a ton of pellets in there (besides hand carrying). EXACTLY! I mean I did invite you guys to that spending party. Well, I have thought about that. However, I have a block; the entire inside of the house was green when I bought it - including the paint on the cinderblock walls in the basement and garage, and the stairs up to the main floor. I lie, the master bedroom was a harsh pink with one aggressively red wall - it was a very angry room. The tiles in the kitchen are at least a darker marbled green. The exterior used to be green too looking under the peeling paint. Somebody got a hella deal on that green paint back i 1960 . But, then again, the right shade of green would be okay, it's just getting past that mental block.
The ramp is to the back door, which I use the most. Second most is thru the garage. The front door is not used. You can't see the path to the rear of the house because it is to the left of the picture (well, there is one to the right of the house too. Way to the left of the picture. about 40', is where the tent garage used to be and where I hope to place a real garage one day.
The Swinging 60's - I thought that was earlier (30's maybe?)? Never heard of that, but that is a UK chart so maybe they didn't have flower children/hippies/peace and love. Interesting that in the US I am a baby boomer, but in the UK I'm Generation X. Oh, and I don't have a profession, I have a particular set of skills that allow me to work well in different fields and industries - from Document Control, to Drafter, to Contract Review, to Technical Writer to Supplier Quality Engineer. I never figured out what I wanted to be, so I change every 4-6 years (adduming there are no outside influences)
Just a couple things to wrap up for work and I'm off until Monday. Going to light the fire pit tonight and do some relaxing.
Southwest NFLD is getting hammered with rain. A foot or more was forecast, storm seems to be lessening now so time will tell the actual total fall. Enough to be very inconvenient...
Lol, I've had checkers at the grocery store not know what an artichoke looked like. I'm talking 55+ yrs old as well as 20 something year olds. I get it, there's no artichokes being grown here in Wisconsin, but it's not like it's durian or some other oddity.
