We have 7 trees cut down when first moving into our new property and i had the logs saved for firewood. The last 4 weeks or so i have been cutting up the logs into to correct sizes and finally saturday i was able to begin splitting. I have a electric wen lumberjack i purchased from amazon very impressed with it. Here are my before and after of about 5 hours of splitting and stacking. IMG_5873.jpg

PS: you might want to throw a cover over your wood stack before rain and snow comes.

Looking good, Jose! Welcome to the forums!

Remember to just cover the top of your stacks, don't make the mistake of "wrapping" it up...

Welcome aboard Jose Estrada I like the hills in the pics. I got into some back country PA a couple years ago, and desperately want to spend some motorcycling there.

Welcome to the forum Jose. We like pictures so if you get any of the splitter or saws we like seeing them. Good start on the stacks there.

I've done a few trips through PA coming from Mass and heading to Ohio and back. Some wonderful riding out there. Also, some sections of PA where you don't want to pass a gas station, because depending on your bike and size of tank, you may not see another one before you're walking. It's a big state. :)

Welcome Jose Estrada , you are in a great place for wood-burning knowledge! The best, actually.

You've got a good start. Be aware that wood is not going to burn all so well this year as it's still got lots of water content. If there's any way you can source some "seasoned" wood, a year or two old, you'd be better off aging this wood you're working so hard to prepare. It'll burn, just not very well.

Those are some good sized rounds ready to split. Will make some good warmth in the future.
