Just something to chat about and see what the crowd likes. I tried to include some west coast stuff too! We are starting to see some over here as well!

I would have posted a few more, But they only allowed 10!

    Edit:
If I didn't include your favorite, Include it with your comments!

Hum! I feel snubbed. MWP Heat out at the price point. No clinkers.
I've looked at brands that have more heat in them. But the percent of price increase far exceeds the percent of heat produced. So next thing is how clean burning are they. For me, nothing I have tried exceeds MWP.

I was going to include them, But figured you can get them at the big box's in many area's. I needed room to get a few of the western stuff so they could participate. Smoke always feels left out, So I just had to this time.

I'm burning them right now, Got them at TSC. Currently the best pellet at my local box stores.

I picked Somerset, as those are the only ones on your list that I can find here without turning over rocks, consulting with a psychic and/or driving 100 miles.

A store down the road from me used to carry Pinnacle, and I burned those in my old Eclipse stove, but that store went out of business about 5 years back.

I will slum around in the big box bargain bin from time to time. I scored some Presto Logs last year in the damaged goods area at Lowes. $1.75 a bag, and there was at least 35 pounds in each bag. I'll take that deal all day long. Too bad they only had 4 bags.

My favorite from last year (and what I'm gambling on as my pellet of choice this year) is Magic Spark/Pro Pellets. About the same heat as Somerset, with a bit more ash, but not enough ash difference to really notice.

Again I ran out of room with only 10 choices available. I did think of them, Eric speaks highly of them too. I also wanted to include Lignetics as well. Not to mention Dry Creek as they used to be a staple for me. Just wasn't enough room and I tried to pick what seems to be the most popular.

I should have also included Eureka, They were once popular here when Wally World sold them. Good too!

IMHO, looks like maybe a second thread with listing the popular "box brands". Maybe you'll find them more popular than the others! Just a thought, your thread.

Not sure I can change this one. I tried to do a 2 fer 1 with this though. Box store thread would be cool, Except I think I know which would be the most already. I never get em in my neck of the woods.

Somerset! Greene Team would have gave em a run until they jacked the price on them. Hardwood Heats-Prestologs and Timber heats could get some votes too! Pellets are so regional, And there are SO many brands these days.

I voted Somersets, but I really loved Spruce points too. I imagine if I had access to some of the great Doug Fir from the northwest, I might change my picks.

I don't really have a favorite from my local guy I get Hamer's & Turman's both great pellets, they used to carry GAP's but they went belly up too bad at $3.90 / bag they were pretty good.
Big Box stuff good selection down here Sets last yr were good, Timber Heat ,Greene Team, Clean Energy & PTL's problem is Lowe's jacked the price up so they cost about the same as Turman's and that looks like my go to pellet this year :D

Big Box; FSU and MWP. Id say Somerset, but havnt been able to get them for 3 seasons now.

Pellet House-Toss up between North Country and Spruce Pointes (vintage 2010-2012). Loved Vermonts but way too much $$ for this pig.

I voted Okanagan/Black Hills but seeing the poll
so far I think I'll call around to see if I can get
a few bags of Somerset to try.
