We have room here buZZsaw BRAD , nice work. How many face cord do you have in the buZZsaw BRAD inventory?
Thanks for the kind offer. Thats a good question. I have wood stored in 4-5 different locations I used to know within a cord or two. If i were to venture a guesstimate i would say 120-150 face cord. It sells and goes out, i hoard and it comes in.
I'm so glad to hear of your early diagnosis & I'm assuming very bright & cheery prognosis. Now as for that last sentence I'm afraid I must disagree. You can be around for family & friends for a good long time, enjoy life in general etc. A short break from firewood & related activities while somewhat discouraging is very temporary by the sounds of it. Heal up, rest up & come out swinging in June! So glad the report is good! Way too many difficulties around here lately for folks. This one makes the day brighter.
Get some rest, brother. We are SO GLAD it was found early and no other treatment needed. Please keep a check on things though. We just lost a very good friend to kidney cancer in March, knew him for more than 30 yrs. To GOD be the GLORY.
Thank you all. Appreciate it! I am binge watching Netflix, Amazon Video, and "Watching people die inside" videos on YT that are just pure gold!
Thanks a lot for the kind words. Yes, sometimes a break is nice, but I was really hitting it hard for a while there (understatement, I know) so I like to ride the wave and continue but it sure is satisfying to see the wood dry and know that I got lucky in so many ways. I am extremely grateful, and the #1 thing was just being so happy that I woke up from the surgery. That was huge and I'm not going to forget that.
Havent been back to this score in a few weeks. Rounds waiting to be hauled out. Have room at storage and pulled a load of sugar maple today. Still another half load of SM plus two of red oak, load of hickory plus a big red maple to buck up.
Well this is embarrassing and unlike me. Got back to this score and pulled another load. Dont ever tell me "get it at your convenience". Back in and load. Sugar maple and red oak. Maybe 20% of the load is nuggets and ive decided to give these to my landlord to burn. Ill grab another load of red oak in the yard this weekend. Still a load in the woods and a red maple to buck.
Pulled another load late today. All oak with some skinnies. Had to quarter the bigguns to load. Ran out of daylight and will get the rest of the oak tomorrow. At least a PU full of hickory rounds in his woods yet and a load of red maple to buck.
Question. Is your truck a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? And what is your payload? If its a mid 2000 1/2 ton, I've used one similar with a short box. Just curious.
LOL , You are talking about BRAD. Seeing his loads and working with him I came to the conclusion that " It doesn't matter what the capacity is as far as weight. For BRAD you just fill it until it starts falling off the sides ; that's how you know when it is full and at capacity.
(Your Friendly Neighborhood Hoarder!} That is what you should say on the side of your truck. Very good Brad. I Like the title to this thread.
Ground froze up enough for me to back in the yard and finish up the oak. Backed in more right up to the woods and carried the hickory rounds out. Put the tongs to good use. Old habits died hard and i keep forgetting to bring and/or use them. Heaping load. Some good sway on the way to storage. Been a long time since i had a load this heavy. 361 noodled some oak and bucked some hickory small. I think he said this was from a dog trot wire rope. Made an interesting "burl" on this red maple.
