Asked me if I'd help him out with a Pine he was taking down on Sun morning, No problem I said, happy to help..
    Sun 8:30 am:
His Husky 243 would not run and even if it did the chain (the 1 chain he owns) would not have cut through frozen butter.
The 3/8" poly rope he had "just bought" from HD to tie off and pull with was freyed and breaking.
Needless to say, all my equipment got a workout. Including me...
Here are a few pics, me in the tree, and before/after.
***Disclaimer*** there are no safety measures in place here, OSHA would NOT aprrove of these work practices. I expect to get my balls busted.

Just curious, why not drop it all at once? And, how did you cut the last limb and keep it from falling on the little storage bldg?

It was a breezy day and did not want to risk it swinging the wrong way.
In one of the pics (all limbs down you can seein the background a white truck, used that and my 1" rope to pull it the right direction.

    Nicely done
Good pics, with yo in the tree it shows how big it is.

The gray matter between the ears is more important than OSHA safety rules.
    Good job!

    Who gets the wood ?

When I first saw the pics I was like "yeah, that's a big tree."

Then when I saw how tiny you looked in the tree, I was like "Oh."

I may have done that a bit different but you were there and you got the job done. That is what counts. I'll bet you were happy when it was all down too.

Much more formidable looking in the picture with you up in the tree. Glad you got it down. What a good neighbor you are!

Great neighbor indeed... Wanna come help me with a tree? LOL

That was very nice of you to do. Lots of work involved in a tree of that stature.

My nieghbor will keep the wood, we both camp at the same grounds so I'm sure he'll share when it comes time.
