37F now and letting the stove work on a small load of Elm and R.Oak. Tomorrow will be mid 50's. Hmmmm. Is what it is. Not complaining!
Fired up the furnace this morning after letting it go out overnight. 72 inside, partial sunshine outside. Gonna let the fire go out now.
I’m not sure what to think about this. 70 degrees mid-November? Currently 44 and oak is in the firebox.
It says we are going to 55* and rain and wind Thursday. Yup warm southerly breeze of about 30 mph and wet..
Second day in a row with temps in 30's, except for mornings when it is in 20's but we still have not had and cold weather.
Nice work Stephiedoll ! Had a wet rain snow mix here most of the weekend. I had higher hopes for this year, but it ain't looking good so far. Wet mushy ground at 35F & rainy is not good wooding weather. Supposed to be cool tonight in the mid 20's, but upper 50's Wednesday with you guessed it, more rain. 33 now with some Soft Maple, Ash & Elm in the boiler. Burning my "mixed hardwood shorts" till it gets consistently colder.
There's an area on our hunting land that is like this. BTDT. Wait until it freezes. 24° out now. Coldest day of the season so far. Burning balsam fir and ash currently, but it will be ash and elm tonight when I reload.
