Nice relaxing Sunday with the wife. Our first snow of the year. Water bill shows 14,000 gallons of usage.
Yeah its really puttin 'er down up here...big fluffy flakes, grass is white now. Document the leak and what happened, sometime the water dept will discount your bill a bit...makes the repair sting a little less anyways...
I have always drank black coffee so…. If I get a gift card for Starbucks I’ll use it for Iced Americanos no additives. My son says that’s a special kind of self hatred. Maybe this is why I spend most of my free time making firewood. Study says those who like to drink coffee black often have psychopathic, sadistic traits
New section of the house insulated, progress on garage skirt. All the J trim is done, but about how much you see is about how much is done for paneling. Hopefully be able to finish that next weekend, maybe even the one side of soffit that's still not done.
Hanging in there. Lost some of my weight I had put on during lockdown. Still have a ton to take off. I managed to stay out of this hospital this year. Put in a small garden, then didn't take care of it. Hope you are well. That is a lot of road time for you. Do you sleep in the truck or are you able to get a bed somewhere along the way?
The bench is 8' long with a 26" depth surface. That way, I didn't have to rip down any pieces of flooring for the depth of the bench...I just used 8 of the 3 1/4" pieces of flooring. The height is also a non-typical design as I wanted to store folding chairs underneath the bench. I think there's about 30 of them underneath! Whether you're standing at the bench or sitting on an adjustable height stool, it works. I installed a 4' LED shop light above the bench and will add some shelves in the future also.
Busy day. Went to church. Replaced water pump in my dad's truck. Took my son deer hunting and got his first deer.. Back is still only 50% at best. Should probably take a break but who has time for that.
At the old house, I built two 3' X 6' work benches with a shelf underneath and above both of them. The 3' deep work surface came in handy a number of times. I just didn't have the space for it this time. Amazing how fast space gets used up!
