I'm pullin a Gunny Highway The log wall is not a straight line and I did not want to cut in to the log to do typical flashing. Typical flashing detail is this So I'm not using the Detail "A" flashing. Instead I'm using the Counter flashing Detail "C" with a 6" leg over the roofing and the 1" leg down behind the metal roofing against the log. Then I add backer rod and caulking.
That is still being investigated by the Architectural Review Board. I don't get to make that decision. Probably a stain, lighter color than the logs and a good sealer.
Porch deck is on. View from inside. The log house on the other side of the crick is the same vintage. But didn't stay in the family.
somehow missed this reply. Dont blame you as id hate to cut a kerf into an uneven surface. Nicely done there PAMM! Sorry, my tradesperson OCD!
