A few days with no cell signal, in NH

This past weekend, a couple of friends and I went to one of my favorite places to be, camping in a rustic cabin, on the Kancamagus highway, in the White Mtns of New Hampshire.


Lots of camera operator errors resulting in some fuzzy pictures. It is what it is. ~smile~

We did.

Couldn't ask for better weather. Around 20 each of the 3 mornings. Upper 40's later in the day. Clear and dry, with minimal breeze.

Ya think? I was in fort Kent today and it was 60. Normally have some snow to be seen at least by now. Farmers are still working fields getting them turned for next year. We have been warm and wet this fall and speaking from the norms it means it should be a dry winter and cold. But we will see, you know that global warming chit.

Yes.

We reserve it for 3 nights in the fall, and 4 nights in February.

The pictures of the house, is on an adjacent property.

 

Now that is definitely a trip to look forward too. New Hampshire is a gorgeous place no matter what time of the year it is.

 

Far more comfortable than a tent to come back to after a day outside in the cold and possibly wet weather.

 

Well, starting back in the early 80's, we did backpack with snowshoes. Same general area. We'd park at a trailhead, hike in 1-2 miles, pitch our tents and call it home for 4 nights in February. We did that for about 30 years. Good times and many memories.

Your pics brought back memories of individual retreats in similar settings. Nice to look at whilst getting better here.
Most of my retreats were colder months....so I could use the wood stove!
