I've never had any cordless tools aside from impacts, drills, ect. My mid 60s neighbor lady asked me to look for a cordless leaf blower for her and I'm blind. What is a good brand, what kind of run times, built in battery or packs (I kinda like the idea of a 2 pack so she could run and charge at the same time but are these a lot heavier), is mph or cfm more important? Any help is appreciated.
It really depends on what she wants to do. I have a little dewalt 20v and it’s great for blowing off the porch but if she was going to be doing the whole yard it’s not enough. Mph is how far the leaves will go and cfm is how many leaves will go. Just my ¢2. Good luck.
I have a Ryobi 40 volt that does a decent job so long as the leaves are dry. Also once they get piled up a bit it is time to stop and pick them up. There is a 2 stage control. All on high speed it will last maybe 1/2 hour to 45 minutes between charge.
We got our mom an 18 volt Makita set with blower and trimmer (you can get the trimmer separate). She loves both of them and they come with 2 batteries plus they are pretty light. The trimmer has the easy load head on it.
