Yea... Will have to clean out some undergrowth. But much more manageable pieces... I think it'll be probably elm and walnuts. Plus one hackberry that will have to rent a lift for over by his house that he wants down before it break a limb or falls into his house...

My Dad has been doing that with my Mom's things.....her knitting group has been well blessed, as have other people with other items.
Its a loss to see she won't do or use certain things again, but a joy to see unused stuff being loved and cherished.
    Be encouraged and strengthened today.

Good morning all. Started at 28 and going to 50s. Clear blue skies. Chaz got the stove all cleaned up yesterday. Had our first fire last night. All nice, warm and cozy.
Molly looking forward to pics of pumpkin smash.
    Have a great day.

Morning All. We had a beautiful day yesterday so it was disappointing to wake up to rain this morning. It sort of has cleared off but I suspect rain will be the order of the day. Bookkeeping, archive work and chores for today. Plants need watering as well. Kind of ironic when the outside garden is drowning. I don't think it will dry enough to go down and harvest carrots. I might get ambitious and cook a Sunday dinner of chicken today. Leftovers will do for a couple of days.

Midwinter I am glad you are going to be cleaning up the mess your grandson will create and not me. Looks like fun though. I am glad you got the weather.

Our temps are just hovering above freezing so any trip down island will see snow. The hills behind us are white and the mountains across on the mainland are getting a good coating of white. I guess I should be grateful that all this rain isn't snow.

    Everyone have a great day.

Midwinter the videos were great. Neat choice of music to go with them. Did he help clean up the pumpkins?

    Good morning, everyone.

I did have a nice time getting away for a few days. The weather was perfect for what we were up to. Pictures will be uploaded later this week, I hope.

We did notice a touch of snow hanging around on north-facing areas.

Midwinter - I thought your grandson would topple over backwards as wound up to chop pumpkins. He seemed to enjoy himself.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

No, they're still all over the grass. I'm giving the squirrels a chance to eat the seeds ( that's my excuse).

Good morning everyone! Had a great day yesterday. We split a little wood, too, he makes sure we do that whenever he comes. We're working on fairly dry red maple, which splits with a satisfying pop! IMG_20211108_38846.jpg IMG_20211108_57392.jpg IMG_20211108_32522.jpg
    Cleanup day today!
    Have a good one!

Morning All. Pouring rain outside with temps just above freezing. We are headed down island so we will be in the snow. Not too much I hope. We have a storm heading in tonight so I hope we will be home before then.

    Everyone have a great day.
