It's probably worth mentioning that Makita offers 3 different versions of battery top-handle saws and of those, I see two distinct models.

    Makita USA 18V LXT Chainsaws
    1. XCU06Z - 18V LXT Brushless 10" (1 18V LXT battery)
    2. XCU08Z - 36V LXT Brushless 14" (2 18V LXT batteries)
    3. XCU09Z - 36V LXT Brushless 16" (2 18V LXT batteries)

I've seen the announcement that a 40V XGT version of the top handle saw is coming to North America soon, but it's still not listed on the US or NZ website. (I often use the NZ or UK website for tool specs on tools that are not avail in the US, yet.)

Start watching at 3:45 for the chainsaw announcement.

Pro tip for sorting out all of the many different offerings on Makita's website:

Once I'm in the category I'm interested in ie: Cordless >> 18V LXT >> Outdoor Power Equipment >> Chainsaws I'll filter the whole category to listings that are "Tool Only". This makes sorting through all the different kits with various other tool and battery combos much more manageable, by only showing variations of the tool itself and omitting all the different tool/battery combo kits. This is important because Makita often releases a new version or re-design of a tool that looks similar to the previous model but has a different model number. This is especially helpful in tools categories that are popular and get a lot of R&D attention, like drills and impact drivers/wrenches.

Sachs Dolmar 120 super is certainly worth an honorable mention, very strong for 65-70 cc
