And there is a bigger statement to that. Wish they could have done it on home turf.

Dense fog and frost here this morning, afternoon sunshine. I was working in the kitchen but a consistent drip from frost on the roof was melting was dripping on the stump of summer planted pot and sparkling light across the room every so often drip. It was Awesome!

He is bonding really well with both Cindy and me. He also seems to love the cats. Had a vet visit today. Wellness visit. He has gained 7 lbs. No longer all skin and bones from being out in the woods for a month. His hair is growing back really well. We are thinking he is a schnoodle. No dog odor, no hair shedding. If I don't take him out when he needs to, he gets really restless until I respond. I need to get him signed up for obedience classes. He is so darn smart. He is building up his vocabulary and recognition of hand signals. I am giving him dog kibble and people food. No table scraps. Just the same food we eat. Only liquid I give him is water. Love it when he snuggles when I lay down. He likes to bring me a tennis ball, or a tug rope toy.

Yep, that would have been sweet...
But the commissioner that took the All Star game away had to present the World Series trophy to them.
And the vendors that got hurt by the lost All Star game, hopefully made way more with the 3 series games. God is so good...

    Well, it was yesterday really.
I finally made myself a sawbuck.
    Complete with a chainsaw “shelf”.

I made it with a little planning this time.
45 degree cuts and 90 degrees layouts kept the math simple.
Recessed carriage head bolts, timber lock lag screws, and 2x6 pressure treated lumber.
Turned out to be a heavy monster![IMG]
But I was looking for solidity and sturdiness. I bought 10 ea 2x6s and still have one and a half left so after I figure out if it needs some modifications or upgrades it may make it to 200 lbs. I’ll move it with my tractor if needed.

All in it was less than 100 bucks. I was going to make it with 2x4s but for some reason the 2x6s were 20 cents cheaper at my local Home Depot. Go figure. I coulda scrounged but I was in the mood to make something now rather than look for all the bits first.

If I get my system right, I hope to pick up log with grapple, move close to splitter, cut the ends till the piece starts getting loose and unbalanced and then dump the last bit into the sawbuck for final cutting. We’ll see…[IMG]

Good day project. Starting to turn colder in southern Vermont did this in the shop with the doors open and radio blaring.

Caffeine! I’ve been slacking off on my reading on the site. Time to catch up.

Been getting some firewood moved a little at a time now that I have the camp all winter ready and everything tucked away for wintertime.

Looks good; both sawbuck and pickup. Move sawbuck with tractor with that much weight.

Whenever you discover that that "ol thing is taking up too much garage space" you give this yooper a PM!

    Very nice!

99 got a good laugh out of it when I told her I was going to park next to her vehicle and wait for her to move hers and then yell "Oh no, look what happened!"
