As did I, but a local CSO (chain saw operative) was there on my behalf. Loads of cheap saws, many were bought by a scrapper. The gem of the saws was the McCulloch BP-1 which is headed north to Chicago. Many a man cave could have been filled with ornamental saws at rock bottom prices today. My buddy bought several for me and loads for himself, we will divvy those up in the future.

Just my buddy bidding against the ultimate buyer. Started it with $5 increments, then $10, jumped to $200, $250, then $325 and the final bid of $500. The buyer is a Mac collector. I suspect he will post on AS when he gets home.

Last one that sold on e-Bay brought almost $1700.

I talked to said 'CSO' when he was on his way home from the auction. What a shame to hear a bunch are headed to the scrapper after surviving for so long and that a handful of two-man saws brought next to nothing...

If I had been the selling party, I would have been pizzed with only 12 bidders on site. Some of the outboards went for $15.

  I hear ya. Between the occasional ebay purchase & phoning/emailing my other contacts for certain saws/parts & other requests are rough on the bank account. So I have to save up or work overtime for the major purchases.
