I told my wife last week that we might need some more land... found someone on Facebook marketplace a couple weekends ago who had cut down some white oak and red oaks. picked up a trailer load of each. I'd have liked to have gone back for some more of the red oak but I had no idea just how heavy those logs can be. my little wood yard is coming along nicely now. 1.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpeg 6.jpg 7.jpg

Great looking start! Just remember, you can always go UP! I stack wood in IBC totes 2 high to keep a smaller footprint.

Two high, eh? Does that work pretty well? Do you cut out part of the cage on your totes?

Sorry, not trying to hijack orginal post.

Very nice! Looks like you have lots of room I would go get the rest!

Red oak is very heavy, even the limb wood is shocking how heavy it can be.

Always supporting going back for more as it stays available. You'll be able to find space. Perhaps to include stashing it in other locations....
Especially if you are working toward your three year plan.
I'm not against splitting the big stuff before moving it for sure.
