Just got done texting the niece she will pick it up this week I actually got something done today for firewood. Helping AC out with his hoarding tendencies
Ran across this 3 YO Kuuma furnace for sale in Imperial (Pittsburgh area) PA...save about a 1/3 off the price of new one, plus sounds like it comes with a bunch of ductwork and stuff...on FBMP. I think they are nuts converting to all electric, but whatever!
I can help deliver as I will be heading to Pgh a few times in the next couple months if anyone in OH or MI wants help with transport!
Thanks Brian! It'll be epic if this gets daisy chained all the way to MI by FHC members! A tale to tell for years to come.
Not when you have rolling brown/blackouts from everybody plugging their electric cars in at 5:30 every night!
Did ya get the chance to saw on that sucker? I've had a few swings and misses with MP wood. Kicking myself in this one. I messaged about 40 minutes after they posted it.
I was rained out this weekend. But going tomorrow. Looks like drying weather for the next week so I will be able to get the truck in next week.
Got started on this at the crack of 10AM yesterday. It was 22 degrees with heavy frost so I piddled around a bit before heading out. Someone had started on the top and maybe had a pickup load cut out of it. First thing I noticed were the huge acorns and this is a Red Oak, not Black. Blew down when the winds from Ida came thru. Spent 45 minutes with the Dewalt battery saw clearing small limbs outta the way. And then 3.5 hours with the 290 bucking it down to 16". It's 30" about 8' up from the root ball. Couldn't get to the last 8'. It's buried in the dirt. Was a little tricky with it being elevated on the 2 broken branches, but I took my time and got it down without getting hurt or pinching the saw. Going back Tuesday with the dump truck and splitter. Hope to get pics then. My dumb phone camera lens is too scratched for pics. Thanks again The Wood Wolverine !
Awesome! I might have made the trip if I knew it was red. j/k! Glad it's working out. That's a heck of a pile of wood after it's split. Any guess on the final tally?
At least 3 truck loads in the 4500 Chevy I'll keep ya posted Almost felt guilty cuttin that saw log, but no other way to get it out without trashin the yard.
