I doesn’t need stabilizer, but there is something for it because it can grow a fungus or some other organic if it is stored long.

I think seafoam is also good for diesel. But I'm not sure about the fungus thing

Hey BB, glad that road rage driver missed you and that the guy he hit is ok. I remember you use SeaFoam with success in your snowblower. I went with the Howe's, affordable and free delivery from wally world.

Howe's has been used for many years in the trucking industry. Good product.

I went from cans to a 205Ltr. plastic oil drum with a hand pump and hose in my shed. My fuel supplier sends the truck out to fill once or twice a year with dyed diesel. Convenient as all get out.

I use Startron Diesel treatment in diesel fuel and fuel oil...has worked out well...had some major algae issues before that.

You couldn't be further from the truth. You'll need all of the luck you can get, it appears.

Those types of vehicles are are the worst. Ones that don't just nickel and dime you, but cost you an arm and a leg for parts.

Sometimes diesel will grow a fungus but there is a fungus treatment you can get. You will know when it does because filter will plug in hours with a slime. Once it grows it is in the tank and needs to be killed off. Not super common but if you ever had to go through it you will never forget what a PIA it is. More importantly if you want to keep fuel make sure to add a Cetane booster if it is not winter blended fuel. I don’t drive ,y trucks in the winter but I always run it down and fuel it up in November with winter blend if for some reason I really need to use it at 10 below. Gelling isn’t fun.

Not a cheap adventure whatsoever. Sucky part is once you get it treated it seems to take forever to get it cleared up hence even more filters at $40 a piece.
