Got some electrical work done in the basement, dropped off yard waste at the tree dump then helped my father in law install a new screen door.

Heck even was able to watch part of the game where my Cyclones knocked off #8 Oklahoma State!

I want to thank all of you for the help. It means a lot. I have been staying busy and have a job in my shop to start Monday .. Im very glad about that and just need to keep it going. It was great to meet molly and her hubby and Im sorry Im not good with names right now.. They came all the way up here, took me to lunch and gave me the gift. . It will go to good use thanks again. Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. Sitting here at my desk, enjoying a cup of coffee and watching dirt cook. Going to church this morning, having a meal right after church and then, nap time. We got the load of wood delivered and on the way, a local deer camp called...they want a cord trailer load again this year...time to make more man glitter fly...probably start on that Monday morning.
Enjoy this gift of today that GOD has given us.

What is this "cook dirt" that you mention, now and then?

 

Good morning brother. It's 48° here, right now. Probably drop a few degrees about sun-up...

 

Ahhh. The relaxing task of coffee on the deck, while the sun warms the day.

 

If you look close at the top 2 pictures in my post above, the orange glow is the Kaolin clay, "dirt", coming from the bottom of 2 of the calciners that I operate. It is mined in our area, then processed to remove any sand or other impurities, when we get it from the raw material plant, it is a dry powder. There are quite a few different grades, we then blend them, grind them together, and passed through one of our calciners. It is then milled again, held in silos for bagging, bulk truck or rail car.

Good morning everyone! 35° out this AM, guess I'll start a fire. I have my grandson today, and fortunately it'll be sunny. After today, several soggy days. I'm actually ready for some enforced inside time.
It was a lot of fun meeting mat60! Meeting another FHC'er is always special.
Still no frost in the forecast, which is weird. Happy Sunday!
