Where's everyone at?


I've been up 3 1/2 hours

 

It was green tomato chutney, with raisins. It was dauntingly chunky out of the jar, so I chopped it up more in the food processor.

 

I started turning my phone off about 6:30 pm and I miraculously started going to bed earlier. I have been waking up without an alarm around 5:30. Good morning!!!!!!! Time for me to go wake the chickens up. That rooster is being lazy.

 

Fig chutney is really good. Add some chilis... mmm.

 

Good morning everyone! WinonaRail that old mill is very picturesque! Still wonderful weather, but it gets cold and wet starting Monday. This weekend is all booked up, so I've got to finish up with outside projects today.
I got a little apple at the dump yesterday, it needs to be cut up a bit. A few bulbs to plant. Bags of used potting soil from the tomatoes to stash somewhere. I'll be busy today.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. My days off are over......start nights again. 66`and windy this morning. Nothing major planned, might sharpen a few chains. Got the trailer load finished and delivered yesterday.

Sunny day today but my heart is heavy.
Took our bulldog to vets again yesterday. He wasnt getting any better from last week. Did some different tests. His blood work was not good. Numbers for kidney function way off the charts. So he has kidney failure. Staying for 2 nights getting fluids to get numbers down. Dr. called, numbers dropped slightly. On a scan can only find one kidney. No one there to do ultrasound.
Staying another day, hopefully numbers will drop, but doesn't look good. Today is his birthday too. He turns 1. Its a kick in the gut!

 

Morning all. Well yesterday didn't go as planned. Mom's ferry didn't run all day and by the time it did run, it was too late to make the trip down island. Several communities lost power as well. We were fortunate as we didn't. campinspecter took Shadow to her appt. and it wasn't as windy down island as up here. We apparently are in for a series of storms this weekend with the worst one coming Sunday. So Mom's appt. got rescheduled in another week and a bit.
Good part is that I got a lot of bookkeeping done. I still have a bit to catch up on but the worst is done.

What sad news. We just lost a dog to liver failure but she was a lot older.

 

What a pretty place that is. It must have been a busy place in its heyday.

 

Didn't you post pictures last year of your trip? There were quite a few of you that went.

 

I was going to rebuild my flower bed this fall and re-dig my veggie garden. Our trip took priority. If we get some decent weather, I will have to try to get out and do it. I don't think it will happen this weekend. Going to be a soggy one.

We go camping in the White mtns in early November as well as February. Two totally different experiences.

There's usually four of us in November, and 5 in February.
