I've been asked a few times why I just give away my chunks & uglies instead of burning them. Time is my biggest short commodity. It's way quicker to run these down to a neighbor than bust them up. He helps me out on occasion & I drop these for him. 20211019_093912.jpg 20211019_093927.jpg

There's enough heat in that to throw off the average global temperature!

I understand completely. Anymore, I offer them to a friend with an outside boiler that can obviously take bigger pieces, and if he doesn't show and I get tired of looking at them, they take a loader ride to the big brush pile, or become part of the backstop.

This is where a good beastly chainsaw pays off. With a long enough bar, I can cut chunks to stove size and throw them in the stacks.

Nice of you to help out a neighbor though! If you have enough straight logs, I'm sure the time you would have spent mucking with them is better spent.

Yep, plenty of saw(s) lol. I can make 1/2 cord of nice firewood in the time it takes to knock those apart. I'm sitting on 40 cord of good logs & have a couple hundred more cord to skid. These are just in the way.
Plenty more if ya wanna take the ride.

Yep, that was a pretty decent load weight wise. North of 7K I'd bet.
