My grandmother chose to keep smoking instead of using her oxygen. When confronted with the meters not showing enough usage at 84 she then started turning the O2 mask in a different room and still smoking at her decades long dining table. The six children decided to let her live her last few months the way she wanted. My father quit smoking in 1990, but when he took his O2 mask off in 2019 we all respected his choice that day (though he never smoked again since 1990). My other grandfather (My Dad's father born 1905) had emphysema but would go down to his workshop in the hand dug out basement to fix things like he did for 78 years from birth, but sneaked hand rolled cigarettes down there where my grandma did not know. It's a tough decision that balances so many aspects that balance compassion with health and life left and way too many other aspects.
I notice during the Atlanta baseball game that an ad for Canadian Tire kept showing up in the billboard ads. Do you have Canadian Tire stores down in the US?
TrinitySouth99 I am so sorry to hear about the trials and troubles your family are going through. Respecting someone's choices is hard when it goes against the grain of everything you have been taught.
Nope, not down here. I've been to one in Canada, fun store! Kind of like Ocean State Job Lots here in New England, but better.
Since their business model has changed up here (once strong in auto parts, tools and hardware) to now half grocery store, half variety store, it has received a new "nickname"............... Canadian Tire Bed & Bath Boutique. A more expensive version of Dollar General.
Can you say ....... S-u-r-v-i-v-a-l . The retail world in Canada is a war zone. CTC is lucky because their stores are all "franchisee" owned.
The tires stores in Canada have to conform with Clearance To Combustibles codes??? And I thought our gubernment was overreaching!
26 mature (50-75 ft) produce a amazing pile of pine needles every fall. This pile is 6' high, 12' wide and 15' deep ............ and that is about half of what is actually there
