Frost on the pumpkins this morning.

62 in the house so I built the first fire of the year. A little bit of poplar to take the chill off.

Was 39F at 7am. Started a fire with ponderosa pine and put a medium sized split of black locust on it. Warming up quick outside so gona let the fire die.

17° F when I got up. Breeze had died down to 5 to 15 mph. Does in the stove.
It actually feels much better being this temp.

Ride home low was 5* currently 3 with the wind chill, spruce fighting off Jack Frost and keeping the radiant floor toasty.

High of 74 here today. It'll be awhile before I can have my first. Even though the nights are getting colder my house holds the temp well. [IMG]

Well, well, it finally got below 40 last night. 39 & clear at 6:00 am. Still no frost, but it was pretty nice out. 62 & sun now with very little wind. Tom, give me some sub 20F weather & I'll start using up some wood! I've got a bit of Maple in the boiler now.

If I was good enough to change the weather, the country wouldn’t be in the shape it’s in, all my FHC family, all my friends and all my family I like would be comfortably retired.

We saw our first frost on the grass and on some roofs this morning on our way into church. Really late for a first frost. Temps in the low 70's for the next couple days. First fire may come Wednesday morning.

By now we knew what you meant. I’m jealous. Still sweating outside when I work.
