Sean, as we expected, the carport idea is going to work out super. Our neighbor has had one for several years now and still loves it although he is at the stage where he wishes he would have went larger. lol As for that little girl, indeed, that is priceless. My wife and I were blessed with 2 sons and we stopped there but still wish we'd had a daughter, or sort of with that. When our first granddaughter was born, it was only a short time before she was spending months at a time with Grandpa and Grandma, although everybody always says she was Grandpa's girl all the way. 3 pictures; Granddaughter and Grandpa; Granddauther at graduation; Great Granddaugher (taken about a month ago).
Just saw this thread today Swags! My carport is gonna deliver this Friday. I actually have a few pallets in the back of my truck right now to put under it to start sttacking this weekend. Great minds think alike. I had thia idea a few weeks before swags carport was delivered. When I posted about using a carport for a woodshed instead of building something, he said he was doing the very same thing and his was to be delivered soon. I will take some pics of the spot and my progress as I fill it. I won't have near the wood swags does as I dont burn near that much here in the south. I also will put a bench in the carport to work on things In It. I also got one side to the ground to keep blowing rain out on the bench side.
Great pics Sav. Little girls hold a special place in Grandpa's heart don't they? Your granddaughter is a beautiful young lady and her lil girl will be too. Good memories along the way I'm sure.
Made some more progress! Got all the sugar maple into the shed, hopefully the stacks don't fall. Got it stacked to the roof. Three rows ends up being 3 cord. Got about another load in the UTV of uglies I need to do something with.
Was gonna' like this, but thought better, since it's not a gooder thing. I was really looking forward to the pics. Now, we all have to wait. You need to correct your autocorrect. It's incorrect.
Was suppose to get it tuesday but will be gone for work. They said oh you dont have to be there. And I said I want it pretty specific I'm going to be there and laughed. Its going in an area that will make it a close fit for a truck n trailer to pass by so I want it in a certain place
What was the $ tag on that again, @swags ? I have a pile of lumber to build a shed, but no time to do it. By the time I buy roofing a I might not be out much over one of these.
Just a little hint here fellas. Do some checking before you buy and ask specifically when it will be delivered. A neighbor waited around 5 months before he got his. The second company I called said, "Next week." The first company said, "We don't have any other orders for the area so I can't give a date." Don't go by the dealer's word. Call the company direct and ask specific questions. We ordered ours on a Thursday or Friday and either on a Monday or Tuesday following they got it up so less than a week. I believe the company who built ours was from Indiana and the crew came out of Charlotte, MI. There were 3 Mexicans and they were very efficient workers indeed.

I did not feel like trying g to match the tin and then holding 21ft tin up while screwing it so I paid the $80 or so more and had them gonna do it. Its 18x21 ft.
Mine was delivered in the time the companysaid. Which would of been 6 weeks. They were behind due to rain which it has been doing bit due to my work schedule iI had to delay them another 2 weeks cause their date did not work for me.
The cheapest 18 x 21 is $795. A darn good price. Given that you don't have to really do a thing. Other than provide a level build spot.
Like Dex said it was $800, well worth it for the time. Also like Dennis said check on times. They need to have a few deliveries to make it worth the trip. I was told 4 weeks and it ended up being a little longer bc they had truck issues and pushed me back twice but it was only a week. The first time they tried to come didn't work for me so it was partly my fault.
Those shelters at that price seems like a very good deal. I haven't seen but a couple around this area. There is a guy with a new metal roofing business who recently erected one. I wonder if he will sell those. No sign out. We can have a lot of heavy wet deep snows. Any special precautions?
