and everyone will have their "offical gooberment" control number tattooed on their respective foreheads
Just a friendly reminder folks. This thread is showing many signs of going downhill fast. Lets keep things clean as free from politic as possible.
I heard a new term on the local news over the weekend; diaper-insecure. Seems 1/2 of all families (presumably those with children under 2 - or whatever age is appropriate for potty training) are in such a state. My thought is maybe, just maybe find a solution that is reusable so they don't have to buy those expensive disposables. Maybe support a farmer in that endeavor? And while I'm thinking of pipe-dreams, maybe at the same time help save the planet by reducing landfill waste (and the methane that is produced) and using less man-made materials. I think I will call my invention cotton diapers .
Is this "diaper insecure" thing due to the "supply chain" being messed up now? Or are diaper companies blaming covid and not making diapers?? After starting to type the below, I thought about the current supply situation and asked the previous questions... My first thought was from a money standpoint, not being able to buy diapers.... I know things can happen, people can loose jobs, medical situations and bills etc etc that could put one (or a family) in a bind. But diapers are a known expense when you have a baby. Besides shelter and food (and obviously love, which should be easy, endless and self refilling), diapers are one of the most essential needs. I hate to sound mean, but if you can't afford diapers, you shouldn't have let it soak...
I got an email from our Honda dealer. They are collecting women’s hygiene products due to some sorta extreme emergency in homeless shelters. I wanted to email them stating I would like to opt out of anymore tampon drives, but no one cares anymore. I don’t mind helping the homeless, but I don’t need to exactly know where the money goes!
They are the same parents who are "toilet paper" insecure whenever the media harps about the next major crisis in their life. They run out and buy up as much "security" as they can find................................
