Got our friends a load of hickory and oak for the winter. Gonna take a couple saws and help them cut some more Monday.

 

Afternoon all. Recuperating from two long days of driving. So after breakfast and grocery shopping we are taking it easy. We will be here for a couple of days before moving on.

Anyone heard from Brandon Scott lately. We saw a lot of Race Trac gas stations up north and I started thinking about him. I don't know if it is the same chain that he likes his coffee from.

 

Brandon's fine, busy fishing and posting fishing videos on TikTok. I think one social medium at a time is enough for him.

 

Good evening all. First fire last night and kept her going until noon. Cats and dogs all approved.

Just got back from Menards. Yes yooperdave I bought laundry detergent.

Good Morning. It is chilly outside but the fire feels nice. I am almost ready for winter. Just have another half cord to haul down to fill up the last open spot here at the house.

Warm and muggy feeling to start. A cold front will pass through later tonight, clearing out the mugginess and brining in cooler air.

Red Sox lost, 4-5. Game 2 later today.

Good morning everyone! Lake Willoughby was truly lovely. The leaves were on their way out, but there were enough for a good show.
Driving through Franconia Notch was great too. I have to say though, I think the colors were more vivid last year. Maybe because no hard frosts at night yet. I saw some banana plants growing in planters on the main street of a little town up there.
Today I need to do some serious catching up.

I'm not sure if we will have much color this fall ,the wind and rain have brought a lot of the leaves down. It is raining now hope it quits soon ,I'm doing an outdoor wedding this afternoon

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. We got to Alabama safely about 5:30 CST yesterday. Had a good ride. We didn't leave until about 1:00 EST and stopped for lunch. Takes about 4.5 hrs.
First views of the smaller mountains on the NW side of GA, around Rome, Ga


Once we went up the mountain and crossed into Ala, we began to see more color to the leaves. This clump of small trees was on the county road to our friend's house.
We visited a little while, then went down to Ft Payne, where Craig had a gig at a steakhouse....
Looks like we are going to cut wood this morning, and watch the GA-KY game this afternoon...
