Hi Mr Mdavlee, I see you have a new interest in reloading. If I can be of any assistance to you, send me a PM, I will gladly help and speed up the learning curve in this area. You have stepped up in offering port work for Mr KRL 372 project, so I will help you with the reloading, if I can.
That is a problem. But I do appreciate you letting me know there are nice bandsaws for sale impossibly far away from me.
wish list- land and dwelling far enough out of the metro area, so I can dump the high priced property taxes. Maybe a newer 50cc screamer vs my Dolmar 112. Already filled in the large displacement slots with a 075 and an 084- course then ya just got to have an Alskan mill or similar for those puppies to get some excercise. I hear ya on the plow truck - movin up about 10 or so years from my 99 would be nice. Its at the nickel and dime point now. ( more like $50 and $100's) but just too many numbers to the left of the decimal point for me at present.
OK I am having a few choice prime 9% brews. Someone hint hint trade me a used 271 for 1 of my saws they may want or I might part with.
I'am finding its being content with what I have that matters. My 346xp ne mm keeps me from wanting to buy a new saw but had me working on it the other day.In WOT rpms went through the roof while cutting a couple face cords.I found the vent to the gas tank to be the problem removed the tank and vent drilled another hole under the vent next to exsisting one opened the nibble up where the hose goes on sealed it in with hondabond problem fixed.I just can't get enough of that 346 I have a sugihara 18" on it best bar I have ever owned or saw for that matter.
I'm not. Been looking for a 346xp for awhile. It seems I am always a day late or a dollar short. May have to get an M-tronic or AutoTune 50cc if I can't find a 346.
I have a mastermind 346 and a muffler mod 550. I like both. The 550 replaces the 346 just fine. You wont be disappointed if you get either.
After hearing how great they are for the last couple of years, I finally picked up a 346 at a garage sale (!) last weekend. I haven't even had time to cut anything with it, but might decide to disturb the neighbors a bit later this morning.
I had a few 346xp and wasn't impressed with it for all the hype. But I usually sell them as soon as I get them put back together. I've got two now. I've got one almost back together with a 357 intake, filter and hda 199 carb and of course a muffler mod... And I'm working on a trade for another one. They seem to be getting easier to find.
That looks to be an OE which is more like 42cc the NE (with primer bulb) is more like 50cc. I had both OE and NE at the same time, just to see. I liked the OE better, sold the NE.
Happens almost everytime a classic saw gets replaced in the mfg line-up. Big hype to hoard all the remaining new saws in inventory, inflated prices on the "old" model for NOS saws, and after a few months or so, things start to calm down once they realize the replacement model might actually have a few selling points over the old favorite. Would have seen the same thing with the MS660 if Stihl had not recalled the 661. Remains to be seen what happens next.
