Ok, then what is this

you folks positively I’d this as black locust but this is what I thought black locust seed pods look like
just a branch laying at the tree dump after 2 days of gale force winds

 

Hard for me to judge the size of those pods, nothing to scale by..but the look to be fairly long nif so, I'd say honey locust.

 

Honey locust. I took these yesterday. The bean pod is like a mini maraca.

 

The seed pods and leaves on BL and HL are very similar. Look closely at the BL pics and the leaf shape is different. They are rounder whereas HL are longer.
I dont know if "wild" HL (the one with the huge thorn clusters) is the same as the hybrid version leaf and pod wise.

 

Yeah, honey locust. It smells great when you cut it when it's green.

I concur with the above posts : that looks to be Honey Locust to me.
