I had a huge Bradford pear come down during a fall blizzard, when I lived in Denver. I cut it up, seasoned it - and it burned great!

Also. I have that same cart. I love it. I upgraded the crappy pneumatic tires to some nice, solid flat free tires. I couldn’t keep air in the cheap pneumatic ones, especially when we dropped below zero. A125892D-9F29-48D5-81D9-38325C8DC079.png

I have that cart and really need to upgrade the tires. They are always flat.

I have some Bradford pear; I meant to split it green to see if it would split better but that hasn't happened. It is currently drying in the round. Sister took took down three of them and I got the wood. The first one went down in a ice storm a few years back and that has already been converted to CO2 and ash. I like burning it but splitting it is a pain because it is sort of brittle and will split off at angles sometimes. The bark will separate nicely and I use it for starting fires. The small pieces that result from splitting; gather them up and put in your kindling box because they are good for starting fires as well.

With such a small amount, will you save it for cooking/smoking wood Brad?

It will go into the general cordage stack and get sold.
