All I pretty much have time to do this time of year is work my normal job, attend my kids sports and deliver firewood. But that doesn’t mean the logs stop coming in. The two tree services that drop logs off have been at it pretty steady the last two weeks so I had to make time to move them and stack them up to save room. One pile is all oak and the other is mostly ash with a little bit of maple and a splash of the dreaded sweet gum. Probably 20 cords worth.
This is so amazing too me!! In our area tree company keeps it; then bucks and splits over slow periods to sell.
Annnnnnnd...... The march to 500 begins for 2022 lol! You best keep your mom's field tidied up a bit this year Joe.
Super envious jrider ! Yes get a couple drop offs every once in awhile, but nothing that nice! Most tree services around here drop there wood to be chipped. Drives me nuts! Must not be worth there time to split and sell? I’d think they would split in the off season when there’s to much snow to d tree work?
I got deja vu and thought I was wrong. Turns out I was only mistaken A year apart, +/- a couple days. Darn logs look the same too. Must be another glitch in the matrix. The logs keep rolling in
Guess it's a problem I only recognize this time of year haha. I can guarantee the logs from last year look a lot different this year though.
I'm more than a little amazed at the sheer volume you take in and process over the course of the year. If I only had or two of those large log drops, that would pretty much cover my firewood needs for an entire season
It looks like you've developed a great relationship with those tree services! How long did it take to get reliable drops from them?
