That’s not my call. We like everybody are short on help. Unfortunately you have to work with what you got. Some of it has to do with the nature of the work. Working on the the interstate at night ain’t exactly easy.
I get what you are saying but I've seen too much careless regard for equipment by Jack Assparagus operators.
Don't blame you...I hate creepers! I'll slide under on a piece of cardboard before I'll use one of those old school wooden creepers!
Well, our truck radiator decided to take a leak yesterday on the trip back from Alabama. Lucky it was a small leak, never ran hot. Saw a little puddle on the bottom of the shroud this morning. Delivered a load of wood, stopped by a friend's shop, he had time to change it, and supply house had one in stock...
That's funny, I just bought a lift so I could use a creeper! Ordered a set of QuickJacks to use with my vehicles. Getting to be a royal pain in the azz putting them up on stands just to rotate tires. The truck is pretty easy to put on stands, being body on frame and all. The van isn't so terrible for oil changes but I really want some more height to do suspension work. Even up on ramps, I can't get under the Bimmer to change oil, (4.5" of ground clearance!) and there's plenty to do from the bottom on that one! Big chunk of change to drop but I caught myself procrastinating on work I can do just because it's such a pain to get vehicles off the ground.
Had another whoops with a used trailer our company bought. Used it a couple months to move products to a couple off site warehouses... How did it work out???Not too good...
Warner, your comment made me look at it differently, was the landing gear torn off? Looks like portable jacks under it.
