Steel is part of it, but the real costs are the complications for engineering and manufacturing required to hit efficiency/particulate standards. Kinda like the diesels.
I made the mistake of waiting until a month ago instead of buying last fall when I upgraded to the 760 Edge CB. Price increase wasn't cheap. We do some metal work here and it's crazy how expensive this stuff has gotten.
Yeah I guess I was comparing the 2020 prices to the 2021 prices...which is likely mainly material cost increases, since the two model years are 99.8% the same.
Confused. You might buy the boiler before you know what house you are buying? What if the home already has a OWB or a wood furnace?
