Filled up the pallet palace yesterday. About 2.5 cords of red oak, with a smattering of maple and a random stick of ash. The shelf in the middle will be for kindling, once I get around to breaking down some pallets. It was a beautiful day to stack and have a couple cold beers.

Hey that's a pretty crafty use of old pallets if I do say so.

    Looks great !!

Looks like there's order in the palace! Love that little shed! Make sure the queen is happy though!

I built that shed and put it about 10 feet from our back door so that the "queen" would have an easier time of bringing in some firewood. To date I don't think she's ever stepped foot inside it.

    That is awesome!
So 8x8 and 8' at the front and 5' at the back?
I have about the same amount of overhang at the front of my pallet shed, but I think I will want a little more.

Yes, it's a lighter. My grill (not pictured) is close by, but not too close. I had hung the lighter there for a moment when I moved the grill. Safety first, I know.

It's 3 pallets by 2 pallets, so roughly 12' x 8' footprint. If needed I can put another pallet in the "keyhole" to stack more. I got the idea from my wife's raised bed garden, as it has the same keyhole type plan. Nice to be able to fill up the wood bag and be out of the rain and snow.

In the same vein as rainking, we stacked our rack this weekend too. It keeps a cord close by.

Will be waiting to fill porch closet and the bin near the stove till we're burning consistently every day.

Nice looking shed and firewood. Just enough room for a comfortable chair, a footstool and a magazine stand for those nights when there is a little friction in the house (no need to preempt the doghouse!). You are going to need a light though!
