    Reds are fairly common in this area. Not as common as white oak or post oak but fairly common. Just a guess but I’d say I cut about 40% red oak, 40% white/post oak, 10% pecan and 10% ash every year. This giant came down back in the spring and I just happened to be on a scouting adventure looking for other trees to cut and came across this one.

    I’ll see if I can get some staged photos with the saw included. Most likely all cuts will be made with my husqvarna 455 rancher or my husqvarna 340 on the smaller stuff.

    I dont scout that often as most of my scores seem to find me. Always great when you do though. Cant wait to see it all cut and split. Wanna plenty of pics too!
