Got all the wood stacked on my front porch yesterday (red oak, beech, ash and apple). That's about 3 face cords (what cannot be seen from the photo is that there are two rows to the stack). I have two more face cords stacked in the garage, and many more in reserve at the compound to resupply as needed. We go through 5-6 face cords a season on average. Ready for old man winter!

We just call it the front porch. When the wood is not there we have a little couch that slides into the nook. I like to sit there on early mornings with my coffee and watch the sun come up.

Looks good! I’m completely unprepared at this point. I’m sure it feels good to be ready.
