Gonna get up on the roof and poke out the pipe when the dew dries off the metal. I’ll also be measuring for a chimney cap :makeitrain".

Thanks, I agree. I think maybe DexterDay also did that in his basement.

Took my old Dodge to a buddy first light, to have him finish the interior. Returned home and hauled to splitter to some spots I had cut rounds last year.

the rounds completed eyed the first row in the shed by the wood boiler. Two more to go there.

finished the day at the little cemetery on my road tending the gravesite of a Confederate veteran- re-setting the head stone and adding soil to the depression caused from settling over the decades. Dust to dust, I would think.

a beautiful day to be outside.

    !

What a transformation you've made, I recall some pictures when you first started working on it. It's beautiful :) Just curious I thought you like the natural light in the stairwell? -It looks great though! I'm sorry about the slippery deck and your new interior flooring looks great!

There are still two "windows" to the stairwell. Just above where the picture cuts off. Trimming those out is the last thing I need to do before the living room is truly finished. Haven't gotten the stain color for some of the wood quite right to match - different material is making it difficult. The difference between the crown moulding and the baseboards isn't noticed, but it will be very evident for the boards that are together in the "windows" if I don't get it right.

Took the splitter pump off the Huskee for the 4th time and checked everything once again trying to figure out why love joy coupling keeps destroying itself.
I found there wasn’t enough room between the ends of the engine and pump shafts for the rubber piece to ride. I shimmed the pump out slightly and will give that a go. I fear the previous owner had changed pumps and this one may have a bit longer shaft than original. We will see.

Also got the serial numbers and pictures of the saws serial numbers recorded.

No coffee this morning I’m told. Someone is coming to the house to give wife and I a physical for insurance.

Have to call the Hvac guy to give the go ahead on a whole house mini split system for the house and cottage. That bill is going to sting but the old steam boiler is gotten to be around 7k a year to operate. Even with the Lopi in the living room. It’s one of those just do it and don’t worry about it anymore decisions.

Try to get insurance on my new to me dump truck and go make a dump run for the first time. I’m secretly hoping there isn’t any good wood in the brush/mulch pile that I could have to load up. It would be by hand.

Oh yeah. Real job work to do also. Man that thing keeps getting in the way on these perfect outdoor days!

That's why you text when you don't/ can't get through. Texts will go through even when they say they don't.
