Spent a few hours splitting some really solid, heavy, large diameter Douglass Fir today. It was mid 50's, even in the sun. The leaves are turning. Smelled and felt like fall. My wife, son and dog were playing in the field next to the house while I was splitting. Life is good
I expect to spend some time tomorrow, early morning, splitting some ash chunks. I hope I remember how.
Very good Cash. By coincidence I split a bunch of lodge pole myself today. Things are looking good there in your neck of the woods. Nice pics.
Nice! Bit chilly for my liking if that cool here. I like the cold weather except when it comes in too fast. Is that yellow leafed tree aspen? Split a half cord of black locust today.
Yeah, that yellow tree is a small Aspen. Most of them have a just a tinge of yellow right now. But a handful are already in full fall yellow. Send some of that BL my way
Looks about perfect Cash Larue , but you should have made some meat for the wife & kid too. I can't wait till it's only 50 in the sun here, hopefully today was the last 80 & sticky day!
