My cousin sold his cottage & offered me his splitter for Free. It's a vertical & horizontal model but that's all the detail i have. He buys quality equipment.
I have a lot of thoughts about the tractor for snow removal: Snow Pusher mounted on the loader and an inverted 3-pt pto driven snow blower. I'm looking at compact (not sub-compact) size machine. Purchase spring 2022.
Sounds like a good splitter, even at twice the price. Now you can join the Horizontal vs Vertical debate.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on fireplace/stove design and I agree about the heat transfer ability of the stove. I have a life partner (aka wife) who has her own design ideas. We've already had plans drawn, foundation poured for a wall mounted fireplace but it will use outside combustion air and include a heat recovery blower. I'm life we sometimes defer decision making....
If you’re referring to the kind that installs inline between the stove and thimble, not recommended.
No Cab. I envision a Snow Pusher mounted on the loader and an Inverted Snow Blower on 3-pt driven by pto. There are 2-3 Canadian companies that make nice blowers.
Speaking of... Helped dad this past weekend split some stuff. He had 2 big oak rounds we tried lifting but quickly gave up on. I swung my splitter up to the vertical position for the 2nd time since I've owned it. We both cussed multiple times. Down on knees trying to push/wiggle/move them into position. That's it folks. From that point forward I will noodle so I can stand upright. It completely sucked hunched over like that.
Yep, you will probably get stuck in the catalytic or secondaries debate when you go shopping for a wood stove. Welcome aboard!!!
