    Exactly I know someone only a few years older than me that had to have a replacement last year. He told me the ins and outs, first hand don’t do this. Hat to call the ambulance because he bent down to pick something up and landed firmly on his face in lots of pain.

    Looks great! Yeah, that chimney, although looking good, does not quite go with the rest of the finish work. I don't know about black thoug, that may be too much. Maybe a brown? But hey, that is my taste not yours - I give you full permission to do what you want :D

    Looking good yooperdave. Nice to have a usable basement.

    How about a stacked stone veneer? Horizontal cedar wall and the flooring line up visually.

    Belated birthday wishes Woodwidow.

    More attic bedroom work today. Half the room and ceilings are painted. Stair railing is just about completed. Some of the baseboard will go in after painting them. $18 for a 1"×5"×8' :mad: I didn't even bother to look at the planed door casings and baseboards. The room will have a clean modern look with flat casings.
