That's what I was thinking. I'm wondering how to come up with quantities as it would be hard to determine cords/fraction of cords as all the pieces would be different lengths. Just throw them in a big bin and say everything for $XX?
Got some sorting done this morning. Filled 2 racks, ready to split. What's left should fill 2-3 more. I'll work on that tomorrow. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Because it originated in the bush ?????................... In this part of the world if your in the woods, your actually in the bush.
The Chipdrop load from this week is punky maple. I wouldn't have dumped it on someone else. Does anyone sell the punky stuff? Heartwood isn't bad on the bigger chunks but the rest is iffy. Sent from my QTAXIA1 using Tapatalk
Already thinking about that. It's probably 1/2 cord. Seems like a waste but... Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Finally got time to work on the blow down after work yesterday. I got most of it cleaned up before I ran out of daylight. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Got most of the load of cherry bucked on Saturday. Here's what's left. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Make a half cord bin and fill with nuggets/shorts. Then advertise it as such. I sell one occasionally on CL and also have a customer for them.
Good idea. I'm basically working on an IBC bladder with the top cut off and filling it with splitter "trash", anything really ugly and shorts. It won't make 1/2 cord but at least 1/4. For guys that don't care what it is, I'll sell it fairly cheap. Anytime I fill one up, I'll advertise it and see what happens.
Late to the party here as i seldom go to this area of the forum. Too bad it wasnt in the "wood shed" section as id like to follow your progression. Great set and organization you have WR!
Ive got maybe five cord of the dang things and a constant thorn in my side especially scrounging roadside/tree service cut wood. The one customer takes two half cords in the Winter and the funny thing is his stove can take a 16" split which is my standard length.
