I check this place last year and there was maybe 3 or 4 small logs. Its our city tree dump and boy have they been busy this year. I talked to one of my friends that works for the city and they said the ash bore had hit the city pretty bad. They've got 200 more trees to do this year and our town is not that big (less than 6000 population). Planning a wood cutting day on Thursday so I will keep you guys posted. Ill have to get a picture of some of the logs in the back.

That's a lot of Ash! Have you asked/offered for them to simply dump at your place?

I haven't. That might be a good idea but its kind of a tight spot for them to dump and who knows what they'll bring. I might have to look into it a little more.

Yeah I’d look into it fast. This is what they do when it gets full.

The ash in that picture does not look to be hit with the borer. Maybe they just think it will get hit. There is some prime wood there!

Well I couldn't resist and went down to the dump after work today. Seemed like someone had been cutting on the smaller stuff from the day before. I got a full loax of ash. Looks like there's a decent amount of oak as well sitting down there. If you look in the second picture you can see my fiskars hookaroon for scale. I'm going to try to get at least 2 or 3 loads tomorrow. Resized_20210915_174505.jpeg Resized_20210915_173118.jpeg

2 and a half truckloads of ash so far out of the tree dump. Possibly going back tomorrow. They're doing 1 or 2 trees a day so there's usually something new every time I go.
