Good morning. Not much new to report here. Still wrapping up the season’s harvest and canning. Green tomato relish on the docket this weekend.

Good Saturday morning. Taking a trip to Port Saint Lucie today. A fellow Tiktoker reached out after seeing us give fish to people in need or less fortunate. He owns Florida Pit Boys Barbecue. He said lunch was on him. Must be a popular place, he opens at 2pm and is sold out in about an hour. I’m gonna bring a pile home too. Unbeknownst to him I’m bringing him a giant stash of crappie fillets I caught this week. He had commented in my videos how much he loves them.

Everyone stay safe and healthy and have a great weekend.

Good Morning everyone! I did not do much of anything all day yesterday, felt crappy all day. 11 hours sleep seems to have cured it. I have so many outside chores to do it isn't funny. No grandson tomorrow, so that'll help. zjEXzEc.jpg
Hope you can find your motivation today. If you do, save some for me.

Happy late birthday. So glad you still have your mom too. My mom is in a nursing home, she may or may not know me on any given day, but she is still here. Yesterday was my MIL first heavenly birthday, she passed away Jan 26th.

I think you got great service out of the old washer. That Maytag should be a good one. We got a Maytag earlier this year. Hope you like it

Have to try to get more outdoor work done as weather might not be so good for very long..at least for work. Hunting is better when weather is not so good.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I didn't realize that your Mom was having those problems. Sorry to hear that.

Morning all. Fall storm yesterday and today. Rain and wind. A small sailboat is anchored out in the bay and has been dancing around. I wouldn't want to be on that for any length of time.

Elisha was a great prophet of God and was a great influence on his people. The young men at the school of the prophets saw God's work in action when Elisha raised the axehead from the water.

    Happy Sabbath everyone.

Thanks. Being just the two of us, we average only about 4 loads a week.

We'd have preferred to get a front loader, as we're on our own well/septic. The one we've had, is a FL.

We were told that this Maytag top load, uses about as much water as the old FL. They had GE FL's in stock, but our oven is GE. Not happening.

We could have ordered a FL, but given delays in most anything nowadays, we took what they had in stock.

I was going to cut the vines, but I didn't have the heart to do it. There are so many green ones left! IMG_20210918_54781.jpg

Good afternoon. Sitting in the barn listening to it rain. Starting to get set up to start splitting. Chaz brought in a bunch of pallets for use. The wood will be stacked on top that way, as little air flow from the bottom.

    Have a great day all.

Have your tried freeze any of those Midwinter ?

I like to deep freeze about 4 gallons. Then during winter throw in a handful or two into a pasta sauce. Same with kale…just crunch off some, break it up and sprinkle into the sauce as well. Brings back some of the summer tastes and memories.

I don't have a stand alone freezer, just my refrigerator freezer. What I've been doing is making a quick, fairly liquid sauce, and freezing it in quart bags.

Happy Saturday! It's another hot one today. Bucked some rounds this morning and filled a rack. I have 2 staged to split now. I may get one done this week. Cleaned up the shorts and trash. Cherry is next. Washed the wife's 4Runner. Now visiting my father-in-law. He's moving to another facility Tuesday. Getting a little better every day. Have a God day!

Quite a day. 10:37 AM the power goes out and doesn't come back on until 9:30 PM. Fortunately campinspecter talked me into purchasing two generators a while back. Only used one today to keep the heat on and the refrigerator running.
