I decided I wanted a one ton truck to pull the big dump trailer & the crawler tractor. The F250's will do it, but it puts them near the limit that I'm comfortable with. Good friend decided to sell this F350 so I snagged it. 97 7.3 with a 5 speed manual. New cab after he bought it, runs & drives good. Shows 126k on the odometer, but the speed sensor is glitchy. I'm betting it's well under 200k though. Gooseneck & bumper hitch. Everything else works. She'll get a good going over in the shop & then thrown in the lineup. 20210917_184259.jpg 20210917_184311.jpg 20210917_184322.jpg 20210913_174851.jpg

Yep, he takes good care of his stuff. This truck came with a farm he bought in 2019, it was hooked to a stock trailer & got smoked by a milk truck two days after he bought it.:( He ended up putting a new cab on it, paint job etc. then said they just didn't use it enough. Mine now lol.

Knowing you it'll get well used. Something to be said about white Fords huh? ;)

That’s nice, it’s pretty much what I have been looking for. Hopefully I can find one from a utility/power company when they trade.

Oh man, must be really slim pickings there for trucks, sorry you got stick with a Ford :rofl: :rofl: .

I'm not a Ford fan at all, but that is a nice clean truck and the 7.3 is a reliable motor

People pay stupid money for them around here. Nice snag. Hope they replaced the oil pan when the cab was off? That would be a huge time saver.

That's the only way you could get a factory one ton dually 4x4...and it had to be regular cab. (OBS) If you wanted a S/C or C/C dually 4x4 you had to either get a single wheel and add the dually kit (pretty common) or get a factory dually and run it through one of the places that did 4x4 conversions (not so common) at least Ford pulled their heads out of their rears and made 4x4 duallys of all flavors starting with the Superdutys!
Nice snag there Adam!(hope you don't have any loose teeth! )

Ha, no kidding! It actually didn't ride too bad coming home. It'll spend it's life loaded anyway, not a daily driver.
It had new pan & injectors at some point. The bottom side is quite clean. For 6K it'll do what I need.

    REALLY NICE !
Only thing it needs is an extension upward on the headache rack. . Maybe some moose lights.
    For 6k, ya, that's a Great deal !
I really liked the 7.3 I had in Whitey. 90 F350, CC LB aut4x4. Automatic. I hauled over 320 cord of firewood with it. The tranny couldn't take the abuse and neglect of being mine. But mostly , pushing hard through lots of sugar snow out in the brush before I got more iron.

If you had to buy the flatbed. By itself it would be nearly 6k. At least up here.

They're getting pricey here too. North of 4k for steel if you can get one. I like manual transmissions for pulling, but they're hard to come by anymore.

I think the manual tranny would have help up great to what I was doing back then . Or if I had replaced the radiator and changed out the tranny cooler lines. The automatic in mine probably would have done much better.

Yep-Nice truck, the 1 ton removes all doubt-my 6.0 delivers and doesn’t know the load its pulling, it just goes deeper and shifts gears, saying “you got this”….I’ll prob go 3/4 next but not by choice
