Got some good news on the weather for a change. The heat now is forecast to be not so bad with just 2 or 3 days in low 80's. Better yet is next week where I see cool coming in with highs in 60's and lows in 40's. Its about time.

Bad day yesterday with headache all day but even worse was my neck. I had been hurting bad since a fall Sunday but yesterday morning it finally felt better. Then around noon my neighbor came for a visit. Before he left we had gone to the barn to have him help get the air filter changed in golf cart (it can be tough but he is stronger). Then before he left I don't really know why but the pain suddenly returned bad. That ruined the rest of the day. Hoping for better times.

Good morning everyone! It's good to be home. My husband and the cat are happy to have me back.
I think today I will empty flowerpots, and maybe a tomato pot or two, assuming this coffee works! KpOFyE1.jpg
    Have a good one!

    You do any stretching?
At beginning of wood season, I do a week of light stretching. I found a beginners yoga video and jotted down a dozen "poses". I find a chunka floor space and run through them at my own pace, not pushing hard, nor to perfection, just for the ability to isolate and stretch.
Kinda relaxing. And, I feel better after.
As this body ages, it appreciates that sort of thing.
I have never gotten a good massage....but have been advised to.
    Best today Backwoods!!!!

    Good morning folks.
At werk, but its a beautiful day above ground.

We're holding a ceremonial first lighting of the Jotul, on Sunday. I did a whole bunch of seals and paint, and want to get a good 500° fire going before heating season hits. Will have a friend or two over in the evening and have coffee and snacks.
More an excuse to get together and fellowship really. Looking forward to that.

Have an aewsome and blessed day!!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Got about 5 things to do, but the weather isn't cooperating. We will do what we can, if it rains, guess I'll do more saw maintenance...lol...
I'm going to check food plots and right of ways, they trimmed limbs this week with the helicopter, first time using it around here. Cuzn told me they left a pile on his place where I was supposed to mow for him.
We were able to get out of bed W/O assistance, so blessed day already.
Be encouraging, let your light shine for JESUS.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Stretching is a daily thing. I used to go to massage a lot and can say it did more for me than any physical therapy ever did. I can also honestly say PT has never done a thing for me except to lighten the purse.

It is best to start easy. First fire maybe to 250. Second to 350-400. After that then you can fire it right up.

    Open the windows!!

Our first lighting is still weeks away. It's good to fire up on a coolish day and have the windows open to let the first burn smell out.

Morning All. We are supposed to get rain soaking today. We will see. It has been a busy week but today we are going to Mom's to celebrate my birthday today. I am so bless to be able to spend time with my mother on my birthday at my age. The girls were going to come up but one is involved in putting a new roof on their house in rainy weather and the other has kids in school with Covid concerns. I am hoping everyone can get together for Christmas.

Spend some time this morning, messaging my daughter so it was a good start to the morning.

    Everyone have a great day.

    **Side conversation**
I fired it up in july, 250°. But haven't done the suggested 350 to 400.
It will be nice sunday, with 50's for the night. So open windows won't freeze us out.

Its a beautiful misty-ish day here in MA. In a few weeks, this wx will be accompanied by snow. And I will be to giddy to type!

Good evening! Pretty late checking in today. Beautiful and sunny, made it up into the 80s. Took the day off to burn up some paid time off. Unloaded pallets to free up my truck. Attempted to buck up my oldest logs bit 2 saws didn't cooperate so I scrapped the idea. I'll work on them tonight.

Sorted new wood from the drop this week. Much is punky. Everything mostly cut to size so I'll split as is. Made 2 racks from pallets and filled them. Split a face cord. I'm tired. Still need to wash my car. Have a God day!

    Good morning, all.

Another coolish, but muggy start. 63⁰ and dewpoint of 61. 95% humidity. More raw, clammy feeling than muggy. Better air tomorrow.

Appliance woes have moved from the oven to the washing machine. The 20yr old Frigidaire washer seems to need a new spin tub bearing. Repair $'s are about the same as a replacement. So off we went yesterday and bought a new Maytag washer, with 5yr warranty. It gets delivered and installed Monday. The oven has been used about 10 times since last repair.

    Stay safe
