Got to drive past where the free wood WAS again this afternoon. You guys are good, it wasn't black locust. The first time I saw it in person, it looked like the leaves of locust, but upon closer inspection, looks to be definitely elm. I don't need anymore elm after what I got last year. Sorry for your disappointment that turned into good news. How are you feeling?

Still a decent amount of pain off and on, but seems like it is getting better. Thanks for asking. Hoping to get some firewood work done on Sunday after I get home from 2 nights out of town. The wife is dragging me to Philadelphia for a concert that I don't want to go to. But anything to make her happy. Her friend was supposed to go with her. but cannot go now. On the upside we get a sweet Airbnb for free, and hopefully a day of eating at the reading terminal market and Chinatown. My stomach will love that.

I don't think it was ash. Unless it was a lone survivor in my area. All the ash trees were dead before I got seriously into firewood, so I am not familiar with the leaves.

Glad to hear your feeling slightly better. Enjoy your time with your wife. That looks like an old ash tree to me. I don’t think I live to awful far from you & while the ash head gotten scarce there is still some around. Hope you get feeling better with every passing day.:)

Where are you at? I am in northeast Pennsylvania, between Wilkes Barre and Scranton. Dallas, Pa to be exact.

Hate it when you can’t get a good score due to an ailment… makes the next one sweeter
