Good morning! Dark skies and thunder last night yielded minimal rain. But we needed it. Filled one of my bins in the roadside firewood stand before the rain started. Low 60s and sunny this morning. Should be a beautiful day. Bible study and groceries tonight. Have a God day!

Morning all. Got our walk in before the sprinkles happened. We have been watching a construction crew working on building a new house and garage a couple of lots over. They got all the tongue and groove plywood for the garage roof on yesterday before the sprinkles hit. It will be interesting to see what they use for roofing material. It is quite the building. They used the Styrofoam framing with cement walls for the "basement" of each building and then filled it with dirt and capped it with cement. Garage is wood framing. It looks like the house will be more Styrofoam/cement walls.
Home today to finish off some little projects.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning, all.

First line of shower just rolled through. More throughout the day.

The repaired oven has had a few days of rest. Today will be baked potatoes and pork.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! Not much rain yet. I put some lime on the front lawn, I hope we get enough rain to soak it in.
I did a lot yesterday, so I'm looking forward to a slow day. I'll make some yellow pea soup, with the ham bone from the ham that got me banned on TikTok. It was tasty but a little dry. I diced and froze most of it to use in soup. IMG_20210909_7998.jpg
    Have a good one!

    Mmmmm split pea soup.

I boil the bone all by itself. I then put the bone broth in the fridge overnight to remove any fat in the morning.

Then, everything goes into a slow cooker to make the soup, stirring now and then.

Yes and loving it too! But even when it gets warmer we are into that time of year when the temperature is usually under 70 until around noon.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Keep us in your thoughts as we drive 100 miles north to Charleston today. The tropical depression should be moving over the area today. Might be some heavy rain.
Today, Miz Carol needs her big trophy, she has put up with my shenanigans for 33 yrs. We are having a wonderful anniversary/vacation week. We will be meeting friends we haven't seen since 2018, met on our last cruise.
Y'all have a blessed day, be a blessing. Tell your problems how big Your GOD is...
