Thanks. It is in good shape for its age. The hour meter is working and it shows 3747 hours on it. Starts and runs good. The old machines are finicky though. We will see how it does soon enough. I’m hoping the plug in heater on it works for the cold weather starting. I didn’t even know it had one when I bought it. Started looking it over and went “Oh, sweet!” I hope that works. Be a big bonus if it does.

If stored inside I wonder if you will need to use the heater. Not sure if it has glow plugs like my B760. Havent needed my heater.

Yes. My Kubotas have always started great for me. Their glow plugs always seem to work. I don’t believe the 300B has glow plugs. I did just get my manuals delivered for it though. That will be reading material for some of the time tomorrow when it’s raining. Lots of reading material there.

    Chimney cleaner
Has anyone ever used a goose with a rope to clean a chimney. What I heard is you tie the rope around the gooses neck and as you lower
him down the chimney he will vigorously flap his wings thereby knocking loose the creosote inside the chimney. After one run the goose usually expires. The goose can then be cleaned and baked
At about 350 degrees for 4 hours.

If you tie the rope around the gooses feet instead of his neck you may be able to clean more than one chimney before the goose dies of exhaustion. The end result is a clean flue and dinner for 4.

Yes, but the sound it makes sounds much different coming from the chimney and it tends to gurgle when soot gets in the throat. Also I don't like goose meat.

The big storm we were supposed to get petered out. Good thing. The radar screen looked terrible but it lied.

Check the cord with a continuity meter. If it shows continuity thru the cord and heater it should work.

Talk about luck, yesterday the wife went on her weekly grocery trip in town. She came home and we unpacked the car. When she went to pull it into the parking shed the brake pedal went right to the floor. Could not have happened in a better place if it had to happen. Guess what I get to do today.

 :rofl:  nope, she is a good driver . We are gonna play mechanic and check and replace brake lines for sure. A 2009 Toyota Corolla with 49,000 miles, rust managed to find one of the few places under it that the yearly under oiling didn't cover.

Super nice day here. Sunny, cool north breeze, upper 70's.

Trying to make some room in the freezer so I can make cider this weekend...got a couple venison front quarters going on the smoker.

Not sure what I have going on this evening, but I'm going to try to do some outside work.

Try using a cat instead of a goose. Supposedly their claws do a wonderful job of loosening solidified creosote.
