This is kinda silly, but I’m geeking out over it. I found these two full boxes of paper wrapped starters on Nextdoor for free! They were about 20 minutes from the house. So I went and picked them up. The lady said they were in her garage when she moved in, and she doesn’t burn. The Big R in town sells them for $18.50 a box.
Thanks, buZZsaw BRAD and Buck55! I know 20 minutes seems far. But just getting to a main road takes about 15 minutes. So that’s really close for me.
MarkG has used them and just chunks off a bit ata time. He also has bought Super Cedars and like many here, swears by them.
A score is a score! Those are *almost* as good as my Kentucky Fried Chicken firestarters........which was just a bunch of wax with some aromatics that made it smell like fried chicken!!! Hahahahahaha.
Menards has these. I tried them last winter and am pleased with them. 4 to a package; I cut them in 1/2 so I get 8 starts. I also used them this summer for lighting outdoor fires. Like you said Cash Larue you can't beat free! MEECO Wooly Firestarters - 4 Pieces at Menards®
